Stillmeadow Child Care Center participates in Keystone STARS, a quality initiative in Pennsylvania. This program helps early childhood and school age programs work towards higher levels of quality to improve outcomes for the children in our programs. There are 4 levels of programs, STAR 1, 2, 3, and 4. The higher the STAR number, the higher quality the program. We are currently a STAR 4. Moving up through STARS is an intensive process requiring improvements and documentation in the areas of four Performance Standards: Staff Qualifications and Professional Development, Learning Program, Community and Family Involvement, and Leadership and Management.
